Education is important, no doubt about it. There are numerous ways to learn and gather information and it’s important that we respect and recognise that they all play a role in the overall performance of life’s success. Living a worthwhile life and being happy takes more than a degree.
When I first moved back to Australia from living in the US for 17 years, someone said to me “You must be very competitive now.” My response was proverbial. Being raised in Oz -“Competition in the US is for survival, it’s the only way people get by. Whereas here, we compete with ourselves. It’s a totally different mindset.” It’s probably the best reason why I survived working in a very competitive environment – I stayed true to myself.
I think this adage is relevant for being raised in one of the most wonderful countries in the world.
Business is constantly evolving. There are many aspects that simply recycle themselves just like clothing styles in the fashion industry – especially marketing. This is why it’s important to always remember the traditional ways of business because as trends come and go, traditional marketing always stands as foundationally sound and reliable.
The launch of social media platforms exploded and every business owner, entrepreneur and major corporate turned to social media to connect.
“Social marketing can be applied wherever one has a target audience and a behaviour one wants to influence.” Alan R. Andreasen
I am sorry… sorry that this world is in such a state of disarray and fear – sorry that we can’t get along and that some people feel the need to hurt people for no reason. Sorry that they use God for the wrong reason and not for faith and hope and love…….
I am grateful for every moment of every day of my life, for every person I meet, for every single thing I do and the opportunities that are put in front of me – I am grateful for you, and you, and you and I don’t care about your race, religion or colour of your skin. What I do care about is how you are treated and how you treat others, if you are capable of respect and love and if you have faith in yourself to know that love is greater than anything…
I have always been a seeker of the truth and solutions – not focusing on problems. I can only hope that others find the solutions and seek the truth – that Governments become responsible for their own people and not have greed or avarice as their focus.
With over 40 years of experience in the business world here and overseas, I am realising that all the hands-on experience and copious projects worked on, individuals worked with, business strategies developed and implemented make me overqualified and undervalued.
Change is inevitable. Each week I meet individuals passionate about their purpose and desire to be successful in their endeavours. They express something is stopping them from achieving their ambitions and feel a sense of fear and regret.
